Red Carpet Hair Trends To Try At Home!
We’re well into awards season 2015 and there are a couple great trends I’ve been seeing on the red carpet that you can easily try at home! First is the sleek bun or chignon. We saw a lot of this style at the Golden Globes where A-listers like Jennifer Aniston and Anna Kendrick rocked it with simple, elegant looks, while Melissa McCarthy gave it a fresh twist with a side bun. Kerry Washington gave her bun a playful vibe by leaving it a little messy.
And it pops up again at the Critic’s Choice Awards where Michelle Monaghan is effortlessly chic.
To get this look at home is very simple and then you’ll be ready to rock almost any occasion:
1. Simply pull your hair back into a sleek ponytail and secure with a non-metal elastic.
2. Slip a donut over the elastic and brush the hair into place over the donut.
3. Wrap the extra hair around the base of the donut and secure with four bobby pins.
